Indian Baked Salmon

Serves 4


  • 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • juice of one lemon
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable Dill Raita (recipe included)


  1. Mix all the ingredients into a thick paste and rub well into the salmon fillet. Bake in a preheated oven at 380 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes.
  2. Serve with steamed basmati rice and Vegetable Dill Raita.



Vegetable and Dill Raita (optional)

  • 1 cup julienned carrots
  • ½ cup diced celery
  • ½ cup diced tomatoes (seeds removed)
  • ½ cup diced cucumber
  • ¼ cup diced red onions
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill
  • ½ teaspoon cumin powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt


  1. Mix all the ingredients in a large serving bowl, and coat well with the yogurt.
