Do you know who the biggest funder is for career training and skills upgrading?
The Canadian government offers millions of dollars annually to support individuals with funding for training and skills upgrading that can further their career development in Canada.
MOSAIC is the hub where you can access government financial support. Come and speak to our counsellors in the Immigrant Access Centre for Training (iACT) and ArriveBC programs. We can guide you on your way.
Job Options BC
Job Options BC is a 9-week program for immigrants that includes 4 weeks of workshops and 4 weeks of volunteer or paid work experience. For more information, download this brochure.
Do you know MOSAIC offers resources to help in your job search?
MOSAIC provides computers, high-speed internet access, fax machines, photocopiers, up-to-date labor market information, job search resources, and job boards at MOSAIC’s drop-in employment resource centres. Last year, MOSAIC had over 4,000 visits to our employment resource centres.
Do you know where you can have your foreign credentials translated and assessed against local educational standards?
The International Credential Evaluation Service (ICES) provided through BCIT assesses foreign educational documents and compares them to those granted by local educational institutions, such as University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University.
As a participant in MOSAIC’s Employment Programs (Direct to Work, New Start, or Career Connection) you would have access to free translations and assessments through ICES.
