Client Story:
Nancy met with a MOSAIC Case Manager in July 2006 for assessment and was referred to a job search program for immigrants.
She had a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering but her work experience was in the Accounting field. She had taken a couple of accounting courses at BCIT but needed further training to find local employment as she had no local, or related professional experience.
Having completed the job search program, Nancy was on EI and seeking training assistance. She submitted her training application to the Financial Management Program at BCIT, and the application was approved. Nancy completed her training in May 2007 and was hired as an Accounting Clerk two months after her graduation.
