The Direct to Work Program is a Free Part-Time program that provides Individual Counselling, Placement Assistance and Workshops based on the unique needs of the client who is unable to attend a full-time program.
What does the program include?
Individual counselling and placement assistance
One-to-one sessions with emphasis on your individual job search needs and resume development
Workshops based on your needs: Job Search Correspondence; Interview Skills; Self-Marketing Techniques; Labour Market Information; Workplace Communication; Employment Standards; Mock Interviews; Workplace Culture.*
Access to Credential Evaluation

Who is eligible?
You can join the program if you:
are unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week;
are legally able to work in Canada;
are motivated to find employment;
have a minimum of Intermediate level English.

Client Story:
Maria left Mexico and her very secure job as a Financial Analyst in the hopes of a new life and a similar job in Canada. She realized finding employment was a process unlike that in Mexico and decided to seek help. Maria met with a MOSAIC Case Manager who identified that she had Advanced English communication skills and a high motivation level. Maria also required credential evaluation, job search skills and tools (résumé/cover letter writing and interview skills, job search strategies, LMI and self-marketing and was referred to MOSAIC’s Direct to Work program to meet all her identified needs.
Maria was motivated, attended workshops, obtained one-to-one employment counselling and had a very effective résumé. Within a short time given her new found confidence she was offered two opportunities for employment. Maria chose to accept a full-time job as a Financial Analyst earning more than $60,000.00 per year.
