Client Story:

“I’m happy that I got my first job in Canada in the office environment. And I want to thank you (Joanne) for your help and support, just because of you and the workshops that I attended I was able to show the best of me on the interview. As many people in Russia I was always sure that job is just the way of getting money and nothing else, but when I met Ian Cameron and you and I saw the passion that you put in your work I realized that I want to feel something similar, and I believe that Computer Science is something that would keep me interested and motivated. I thank you very much for this opportunity and for your support. I benefited from the workshops that I attended; I gained confidence and was able to alter my resume and cover letter.”

~Victoria Chernyaeva

“I’ve been exploring the option of switching to another profession.  I want to have a more personalized relationship with patients and I felt being a healthcare aide/caregiver would give me that satisfaction. Anyway, thank you so much Renata and to all the staff working at Skills Connect. I hope the government would keep this program as it has and can help a lot more newcomers get a foothold in their previous skilled profession. Again, my heartfelt gratitude to you for all your help and guidance.

I have been blessed to have been surrounded by great, sympathetic and kind people like you all, and I will be forever thankful for that. This is a great chapter in my life and I can't ask for anything more.”
