A new Centre for learning English has officially opened in Surrey. MOSAIC, along with Douglas College, ISSofBC and Klein and Associates are operating the Centre together. It provides free English Language Services for Adults (ELSA) classes for about 180 students and child care for students with young children.

Anita Huberman, the CEO of the Surrey Board of Trade, presented the partners with a plaque welcoming them to Surrey. Anita talked about how quickly Surrey is growing and how important it is to have services such as those provided by the Surrey Learning Centre for many newcomers who settle in the City.

One of the Level 5 students, Alma Hila, described how much she enjoyed attending classes at the School and how quickly her English had improved. Alma particularly likes the opportunity to make friends with other students from all around the world. Alma and her husband came to Canada from Albania to build a better future for their three daughters.
