parent, living in Vancouver?
- feeling

a supportive and fun service for you and your child?
If so, you may be

Building Blocks Vancouver is a free-of-charge home-based
parenting support program that provides regular home visits to
first-time parents. If you’re feeling anxious or worried, or if you
just have questions about the experience of giving birth and
becoming a parent, Building Blocks Vancouver is here to
support you. We are a long-term program and can work with you from
the third trimester of pregnancy until the child reaches the age of
five.
Among the things
that we offer in support are these: we listen to you and hear your
concerns; we give you encouragement; we accompany you to a variety
of appointments; we supply you with information about community
resources, childcare, parenting, health and social issues.
Building
Blocks Vancouver also:
- offers weekly,
informal drop-in groups (bus tickets are provided).
- provides milk
coupons for your child, at 12 months of age and over.
- has a donation
center, from which clothing for both adults and children, books
and toys, and baby/child equipment can be obtained.
