A MOSAIC of Volunteers

On April 14, 2011, MOSAIC Volunteers gathered at the elegant Heritage Hall for a celebration of their contributions to MOSAIC.

In anticipation of the evening's festivities, staff  gathered stories and feedback from clients, and asked newcomers to write to volunteers, telling what difference volunteers had made in their lives. These comments were then posted on a banner in the hall for all to see.

Two newcomers told stories of their encounters with volunteers. Vancouver Playback Theatre then made dramatic improv presentations of those stories, breathing colour and energy into their feedback.

Veronique Mulungie enthralled us all with her storytelling performance. Look at our photo gallery and see that there was much mingling and merriment and a great buffet of refreshments courtesy of Just Catering.

MOSAIC thanks our 270 volunteers who generously donated their time and talent over the past year to make a difference in the community. And thank you to all those who attended the event. We look forward to working with you over the upcoming year.
