Student Placements

Placements for Master and Bachelor University Students in social work, social administration and social policy.

We offer a limited number of placements each year for students wishing to gain work experience in the settlement sector. Roles vary depending upon need but usually include a combination of administrative tasks, basic research and client support.

In the past we have worked with master and bachelor level students in social work, social administration and social policy from the University of British Columbia, the University of Victoria, FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences, Austria, VIA University College, Denmark, Arebro University, Sweden, the University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. We also offer occassional placements for certificate program students at local community colleges.

Client Story:

"I was really happy at MOSAIC. The warm, friendly and helpful staff made me feel at home. The possibility of working closely with so many different nationalities opened my eyes for other cultures. The GREAT oppotunity to find and do my own project helped me grow as a person with big help from a lot of the other staff. I really liked that the doors were always open if you needed any help. It was great to always meet a smile and a 'goodmorning' when I came to work. And last, it was just really nice that you didn't just feel like a 'student' at the place, but people actually respected you." ~Brian, Denmark
